Working hard or hardly working?

Did you know that working everyday is actually a lot easier than working just a couple times a week?
You probably did, but I was out of the loop!
I started working at a call center about a month ago, and time has flown since then.
Even though I have less time, I get a lot more done than I did without a job!
Plus I always have Friday and Saturday nights off, so that helps.

Every time I go into work, I'm always a little nervous they're going to fire me.
You see, I'm supposed to be getting twelve sales a day, but I usually average about one.
I'm sure the only reason they've kept me for so long with so little profit is because they can see my untapped potential for marketing.
Ha. Jokes on them!
The good news is that I can definitely rule going into any kind of business, sales, and marketing for a future job. One down, hundreds to go!
In all seriousness, I really hope I don't get fired. I really enjoy being able to read, watch movies, do homework, and play uno during work.

Calling people for work everyday makes for some very interesting conversations. Such as:
"Hi this is Anna calling from blah blah blah, is so and so there?"
"Yes hi this is me."
"Would you like to blah blah blah"
"Um yea but I'm having a serious bout of diarrhea at the moment. Do you like diarrhea?"
"....um... You um.. Sorry I... Youhaveagooddaybye!"

I'm an awkward person. It's true. Excuse the grossness of that person, his parents obviously didn't teach him any manners.

New Year Resolutions

With all the fun and exciting things that have been going on in my life since July, I just haven't found the time to blog!
(Lies, lies, and more lies)
The sad truth is that I just completely forgot about blogging. Cause let's get real here, no one actually reads this.
Updates on my fun and exciting life:
quit Zupas
made the tennis team
went to my very last girl's camp
started Senior year!
won the St. George tournament in tennis
won a varsity match!
won region playing 2nd singles on JV (and those were some ridiculously hard games, so props to me)
went to Homecoming with Connor Clayton
went to Sadies with Ethan Blanchard
Applied at several different colleges! (BYU, BYUI, UVU)
Applied for millions of scholarships that I've yet to win
went to a Beyond 5 concert because they're amazing!!!!!!!
finished all ten seasons of Grey's Anatomy (see, I've been super busy)
got an iPhone for Christmas
got my first kiss..........hahahahaha yeah right.
worked on my mythology mosaic which takes a million years
had an interview for a new job! Still waiting for the phone call.

The rest of this blog post is more for me than for anyone actually reading this, so I'd understand if you just stopped reading right now.

Well it's 2014 now, and I have a few goals for this year.
1. I want to make good habits now so that in the future it won't be hard for me to stay healthy and active.
This means exercising a LOT more, eating healthy, and just keeping better care of myself.

2. I want to discover who I am
I'm almost an adult, and I'll be moving out soon. I want to be confident in myself, the choices I make, and what I want to do with my life. I know that I don't have to know for sure, but I want to have the slightest idea of what I want to major in in college.

3. I want to be more productive
I am the queen of procrastinating, and I need to learn how to balance a social life with my school work and jobs. This also includes blogging more!

4. I want to be aware
I feel like most of the time I'm stuck in my own world, and since I'm a teenager I've seen that as just what teenagers do. But I want to be aware of when my family, friends, and neighbors need something and I want to be the one to help them.

5. I want to be more confident
Most people think I'm quiet and shy, which I kind of am. But I just struggle to know what to say and I don't like being the center of attention. I'll be leaving my comfort zone with all my old friends once we all graduate, and I need to be more open and social.

If I can keep up with all these goals this year, moving out and going to college is going to be easy-breezy.

If you've made it this far, then I'm pretty impressed and you just got friend of the year award. Which would be super cool cause it's only the second day of the year. So congrats!

Practically perfect

Can we all just talk about how my sister has the best life?
There are people who pretend to have perfect lives online, but they definitely don't.
And then Becca comes along and tells me about all her dates and how her school is awesome, and I think oh yeah I'll totally do that and all that will happen to me! But when I do it it turns out way differently. Because let's all just face it, aaaalll da boyz luuuuv her.
I'm not bitter at all.

Honestly though, I got pretty lucky in the sister department. Jill is definitely my role model. She always knows what to do, and she is such a good mom. She has the best style, lives in an awesome place, and has the cutest family! I love her so much! And Becca is always smiling and happy, and she has a personality you can't help but love. They're just the best.

Anyway, I'm just trying to make you all jealous of my sisters. And I'm pretty sure it worked.
I'm pretty jealous of them myself, though I try not to be.

Changing topics: I don't get why teachers give summer homework. It's not like we're going to be doing a little bit each day so we'll be ready for the school year to start! In reality, every single one of us does it the week before. It's like we're mastering procrastination instead of the actual concept of the homework. Give us a year to do something, and we still do it the night before. It's just the way of the world. The immature, uncaring, teenager world, that is. I could be spending the time I'm writing this to write my english essays, or even my devotional for Girl's Camp. At times I just want to be done with it, move on to college and bigger and better things.
But college?? Where to even start! I have an idea of what I want to do, but if I don't make it in to the college I want to go to I might be very disappointed. So I'm trying not get my hopes up to much.
Because, you know, I've heard it's pretty hard to make it into Harvard*.

*sarcasm. Just in case you didn't understand.

Lets get caught up!

Guess who's finally blogging!
This girl!
I've had a crazy summer so far, and done lots of fun things.
I have all the scrapes, sunburns, and bruises to show it!
I went tubing down the Provo river for the first time,
and I kind of never want to do it again.
But maybe next time I'll wear shoes.. and be in a big tube not the dollar ones you can buy anywhere.
I've also been learning how to longboard, swimming, kayaking on Utah Lake, all that fun stuff.
I play tennis everyday, and I've really been practicing piano and guitar so I'll get better.
There's been a lot of Girl's Camp planning, too.
I wish that it was sooner than August, because I feel like it's taking up a lot of my time.
And it's over my birthday.
Great.
I have a tennis tournament today, so wish my luck on that!
Here's a few pictures of my summer so far.
Photo: Snow cone party! (Eating a lot today...)PhotoPhoto: Sometimes.... Me and Anna buy a dozen doughnuts.....:)Photo: Utah lake day!

Also, before the summer started, there was Spring Fling, Choir tour, Prom, and some other stuff.

I'm not exactly sure what happened with all those pictures, but hey, at least I tried.

Hi.

I'm just gonna pretend that I've been regularly blogging lately, so I don't have to go through the whole
"I promise I'm still alive" thing.
So today I went to the softball game to take pictures for yearbook.
I dragged Bekah along so I wouldn't be alone.
We were there for a whole 10 minutes!
And the only pictures we took were of a giant truck.

So productive.
We even tried to do some math!
(One problem, check. 20 other problems... ehhh)

Sometimes, I just wish I could put every single snap chat Becca sends me.
They are hilarious.
And it would be pay back, cause she always does it to me.
But for some reason I have not mastered the art of screen shooting something in less than 5 seconds.
So you're safe sista!

So what have I been doing with my life lately?
Work.
School.
Eat.
Repeat.
Not in that order, and eating is a lot more often than the other two.
Exercise?
Not so much.

I'm very excited, because I'm going to San Francisco in almost two weeks!
So I'll have Spring Break, and then choir tour right after!
I even paid for half of it, so I better have fun.
All I know that we are actually doing there is going to Alcatraz, and shopping.
Oh and the singing part, but no one goes for that.

Here are some lovely pictures for you.

I hope you don't have nightmares tonight because of them.
 Sore losers.
 Fail.
And some lovely pictures of my very own sister.

Umm my sister the turtle? Worst picture ever!

Preference 2013

Preference was this last Saturday.
It was really fun!
I took Drake Harper.

For the day date we went to Classic Skating.
Let me tell ya, it has changed a ton since the last time I was there! (6th grade)
There were bouncy houses and arcade games and it was a lot bigger.
I fell down a lot..

Later that day we took pictures.
 Me and Drake.
 My whole group.

This picture was just too horrible of everyone in it.

We went to La Jolla Groves for dinner.
That place is so good, but I accidentally ordered the exact same thing I got the only other time I've been there.
Woops.
Pretty good though.
Then we went to the dance, stayed for an hour or so, and went to Talbie's for ice cream sundaes and games.

It was a great dance!

(I almost put 2012 as the title. Still not used to the new year.)
